Entropy Theatre recognizes that we have been operating in and benefitting from an industry
plagued by systemic racism. Part of our mission is to raise up diverse artistic voices and it is
clear we still have work to do. We are commiting to becoming an anti-racist organization
actively committed to opposing racism and calling out oppression within our organization and
Below is a link to our Anti-Racism Plan. This document is a place for us to
to record the steps we have taken, and the steps we plan to
take, towards making the Boston theatre community more safe, equitable, and empowering for
BIPOC artists. We will revisit this document monthly, to check in with our progress and update
as needed, and do an in-depth review and reflection twice a year. As part of each bi-annual review,
we will create a new version of the document. We are keeping prior versions available to increase the
transparency of our journey. This is a public document, and will be published on our social media and website.
We intend to keep our audience and community informed on this process to help hold us accountable.
Also linked below is a tracker to go along with our Anti-Racism Plan. This is live spreadsheet that keeps
track of our actionable goals and provides links to all of the resources we have created.
Additionally, we have done extensive work over the past few months to update our Anti-Harrassment Policy and
artist contracts with an anti-racist lens. Our goal with these updates was to ensure that our policies and contracts
protect our artists (and in the case of the Anti-Harrassment Policy, anyone who is in contact with us) as much as possible.
Linked below is the updated copy of our Anti-Harrassment Policy, as well
as sample artist contracts, for sake of transparency.
Entropy Theatre is also committed to holding all of its spaces (physical or virtual) to the highest standard of accessibility, inclusivity, and anti-racism. If you would like to report an incident or leave us feedback, anonymously or otherwise, you can use the form located here.
